Animal scientists conduct research about farm animals.
They study the animals’ nutritional needs and evaluate how well animal feed is meeting those needs. They communicate their findings to other scientists, producers, and the public. Animal scientists may also study and recommend changes in animal housing, hygiene practices, disease control, and breeding practices.
