Personal financial advisors give clients advice on financial plans using their knowledge of taxes, investments, insurance, pensions, and real estate.

They interview clients to assess their assets, debts, insurance coverage, financial goals, and more. They then make recommendations for what clients can do to meet their financial goals, including seeking assistance from other professionals if needed. Personal financial advisors may also manage clients’ investments.
